Nightingale Lodge, named after the much-loved local icon Florence Nightingale, is located in the popular market town of Romsey. What is an extra care scheme?
It is Independent living with peace of mind. Extra care can be something from needing some support with everyday care such as dressing, cleaning, shopping to something more involved. 24-hour domiciliary care is available as a payable extra. Staff are on site 24/7 to respond quickly to a variety of personal care and support needs. Tunstall alarm systems are installed in each of the apartments for extra reassurance.
What is the area where the development is like?
Romsey is a beautiful historic Market town. Nightingale Lodge is situated under a mile from the town centre with a bus stop directly outside the development taking you to town or further afield. The development sits well amongst other retirement and local care housing and has a surgery and a pharmacist on the doorstep.
What on-site amenities are there for those of us who can’t travel far?
We will be offering a ‘pay as you dine restaurant overlooking the communal courtyard garden, a wellness suite which will incorporate a hairdresser and a nail salon, there is a ‘club lounge’ where you can enjoy a coffee or a glass of wine with family and friends or participate in some of the communal activities that will be on offer if you wish.
Is there space for friends and family to visit?
Yes! All of the Shared Ownership apartments are two bedroomed – however if you would prefer there is a guest suite facility available for family and friends.
What do each of these homes include?
The apartments are modern and spacious and come with carpets and flooring throughout, they all have a spacious balcony or patio area and look out over the communal garden. For ease there is a large walk-in shower with white, sleek sanitary wear and attractive wall tiling. The kitchens are Howdens, with integrated appliances – the general finish is neutral so that owners can put their own stamp on them if desired
