CASE STUDY ANN AND ANTONY – ABBOTS GREEN
Share
Having bought their first property together in 1985, Ann, 57, and Antony Pocklington, 58, have moved into a two bedroom Buckfastleigh property at David Wilson Homes’ Abbots Green development
The couple, who are originally from Essex, were previously living in a four bedroom detached house before making the decision to downsize. Ann said, “We are very happy to finally be in our new home. Woolpit has a nice community feel – we have an Abbots Green WhatsApp group and we have met the neighbours as all the bungalows were moved in at the same time. Everything is fresh and brand new, and the location is perfect for the doctor’s surgery and local shops.”
Ann’s favourite feature of her new home is the open-plan kitchen and dining area, which has French doors that lead out to a fully-turfed rear garden. She was set on a bungalow after seeing a similar property on David Wilson Homes’ Blackwater Reach development in Southminster, Essex.
Ann continued, “When Abbots Green was starting, we saw the same bungalow was available and knew we would go for it. The main reason being, the kitchen layout is fab – it’s a great size and has a real ‘conservatory’ feel to it.”
The new bungalow will be the couple’s sixth home together and they have enjoyed adding more walking into their daily routine since moving.
Annette Hurst, Sales Director at David Wilson Homes Eastern Counties, said, “The development has proven very popular with couples who are looking to downsize from a family home thanks to our bungalows’ spacious living room, bedrooms with en suites and a study. Many buyers have also enjoyed making the most of the excellent transport links to and from Norwich, Stowmarket and Cambridge, with the development located just off the A14.”
