Having completed a collection of 41 elegant homes at Castle Gardens in Watlington, specialist retirement developer, Beechcroft has commenced construction work on the second phase of development comprising 25 new one and two bedroom apartments, designed for the over 55s. Set within four two-storey buildings set around a communal garden, each new apartment will provide an abundance of generously proportioned living space, a balcony, terrace or private garden and allocated parking with electric car charging points.
“Our ground workers started work on site in August and it is progressing well,” comments Lewis Digby, Beechcroft’s Contracts Manager. “We anticipate being able to launch the new show home in early 2025.”
Castle Gardens has proved to be one of Beechcroft’s most popular retirement developments. This isn’t surprising given the superb location, approximately ½ mile from Watlington’s High Street, the beautifully landscaped and fully maintained gardens, the stylish residents’ pavilion, the shuttle bus service and the on-site estate management service. The new apartment buildings will feature a comfortable communal lounge and a luxurious guest suite that may be booked for visiting family and friends.
The new, energy efficient, easily maintained apartments will feature most of Beechcroft’s Healthihouse™ specification, with fixtures and fittings designed to promote a healthy home environment. Kitchens are fitted with bespoke cabinets and a full range of top-brand name appliances, bathrooms and en-suites include vanity units and mirrors, there are fitted wardrobes to both the principal and second bedroom and flooring throughout is included.
“We were delighted with the response to the new homes at Castle Gardens and we are already receiving enquiries regarding this new phase of development,” comments Angela South, Beechcroft’s Sales & Marketing Director. “Our homebuyers at Castle Gardens frequently comment on the generous proportion of the living spaces, the quality of the fixtures and fittings, the beautiful landscaped gardens which are particularly popular with the community’s dog owners and the helpfulness of the on-site Estate Manager.”
“The residents’ pavilion has become a hub of activity hosting coffee mornings, quiz and games evenings, a craft group and many more events and, on sunny days, residents relax in the communal gardens. The second phase of development , which will bring further benefits, including additional green space, another communal lounge and a guest suite with kitchen area and a shower room, provides homebuyers who missed out the first time round with another opportunity to buy.”
“Whilst we hope to launch the new show home in January 2025, we would recommend anyone interested in Castle Mews to contact us so we can provide regular updates over the next few months.”
