NATIONAL MOVING DAY: RETIRED GLOUCESTER COUPLE FINDS PERFECT APARTMENT WITH LIONCOURT HOMES

To mark National Moving Day (August 19), Lioncourt Homes tells the story of a retired couple from Gloucester, who have secured their ideal home in Hempsted after downsizing to a new one-bedroom apartment.
Charles and Pam Martin, aged 73 and 72, have settled into their Orchard style home at Priory Meadows, a high-quality development of houses and apartments two miles from the centre of Gloucester.
The couple were happy in their previous home and not actively looking to move, however a spur of the moment decision, while out walking their springer spaniel Millie, to call in at the development’s sales office set them on course to finding the perfect apartment for their retirement years.
Lioncourt Homes were accommodating to Charles and Pam’s needs, something the couple say really helped the move become stress-free.
Charles, a retiree from the aerospace industry, commented: “We had always said that in a few years we’d need to move somewhere more manageable, due to health conditions which can sometimes restrict our mobility.
“When we saw how lovely the apartment was, it opened our eyes, and we wondered what we were waiting for.
“There were circumstances that meant our home required some adaptations, and Lioncourt were incredibly accommodating and understanding; nothing was ever an issue.”
Charles and Pam’s Orchard style home perfectly fits their needs, with an open-plan living and kitchen space, fully integrated with modern appliances. Pam, a former charity shop manager, commented that she now has the kitchen she has always wanted.
Their new home, at Priory Meadows, is ideally-located just one mile from Gloucester Quays, a premium designer outlet, and a short journey from their daughter and grandchildren who live in Hucclecote.
Charles added: “We couldn’t be more pleased with our new home, in particular we were attracted to the plans for the extensive landscaping and general ambience of homes on the development.
“The sales team were also absolutely brilliant. We felt very supported and informed all the way through the process.
“There’s always a certain degree of stress regarding moving into a new house, no matter how many times you have done it, but they alleviated that for us and made the process a smooth one.”
Charles and Pam are a part of an ever-growing number of buyers choosing Lioncourt Homes, thanks to the homebuilder’s commitment to meeting the highest standards on quality, location, cost, and customer service.
Earlier this year, Lioncourt Homes was once again awarded a five-star customer satisfaction rating from the Home Builders’ Federation (HBF) for the 11th consecutive year.
Charles, Pam and other Priory Meadows residents benefit from being close to large open space areas and great landscapes, while not being too far from a city that is rich in culture with excellent connections to further afield locations.
The M5 motorway and Gloucester Railway Station make Bristol, Cheltenham, the Midlands, South West and Wales easily accessible, while Gloucester Cathedral with its architectural history of over 1,000 years, and the county’s legacy in aviation mean there is always more to explore.
