‘RIGHTSIZERS’ RECONNECT WITH SOUTH RIBBLE ROOTS

A couple who left South Ribble more than 20 years ago have made a return to the area and a semi-rural way of life.

Roy and Movita Naylor and their Cairn Terrier Woody decided to make a move from their four-bedroom home in the Lake District to a smaller property nearer to family.

“As we are both getting older, we thought it was a good time to downsize and move closer to our immediate family,” said Roy.

“We had our sights set on Leyland we did have some knowledge of the area and being more semi-rural was handy for local amenities.

“We had lived in new properties previously, so we knew we wanted a new build property, which is more convenient at our time of life.”

The couple visited a number of developments in the area, before finding a Redrow property that ‘ticked all the boxes’.

That property was the three-bedroom Warwick located at Redrow’s Worden Gardens development on Leyland Lane.

“Had we designed the house ourselves we couldn’t have done it any better,” said Roy.

“We love the complete design as it meets all our needs. The spacious kitchen / diner area is probably our favourite room in the house.

“The house is heated by an air source heat pump, which is new to us and we are getting used to the setup. I’m sure it will be nice and cosy through the winter months.”

The couple found the moving process to be a smooth one, which Roy says was helped greatly by the team looking after them.

“The team at Redrow have been great,” said Roy. “Both the sales consultants, Yvonne and Jess, were very helpful and professional throughout the buying stage. And since moving in we have found the relationship with the construction team on site has also been very good.

“Moving into a new property we both knew there will be some minor issues during the initial period, but we found Redrow to be very proactive, and these were soon sorted. We are very pleased to be back here again.”
